hehe too much red wine tonight obviously... First I said i didn't recognize a single word when i heard this as a kid... then I claimed my mother tongue is swahili - sorry, I am blond. ;D Seriously, my mother tongue is Finnish and that must be more rare than Swahili... And no not all Finns are as incoherent as me and no they don't contradict themselves in the same sentence practically... Not that u guys would be interest nor should there be any reason 4 u to be. haha. Just ignore me. ;P

Tonight is full of surprises for me... Who'd have thought Bananas sung a song in Swahili!?! I love this song too - takes me back indeed... I was a child when i heard this and thought it was in English and thought "gee, I don't recognize any words..." but I kept singing it anyways - you know, i was very young, and English not my mother tongue... before you ask yes it's swahili ;P

So they based their version on the Swahili sung Black Blood tune but the original comes from Le Monde Fabuleux Des Yamasuki a 1971 French record. The song was titled Aieaoa. Look it up here on youtube.
