Europe and the rest of the world are developing new technologies that will give them the economic edge in technology and products, as America unthinkingly erodes into a third world nation as our politicians who are beholden to fossil fuel companies, legislate for them to make billions of dollars. A car that runs on compressed air (that should be an American idea and benefit America's economy), is a French invention that orchestrates old technologies into a new chassis. Behold this newsworthy clip (that is not ready for U.S. corporate controlled prime time news or even political debate) edited from HD Theater, "The Future Car: Fuel". Just another example of how corporations who control our legislative and executive branches of government are misallocating our resources, treasury and wealth, to insure their short term wealth and global domination, as we deteriorate economically and do nothing to preserve our economic leadership. What is America doing with its "talents" (see Matthew 25:14-25:39)?

Looking forward to this amazing new technology. I hear there'll be some manufacturung plants built in the U.S. in '09. I'd like to see lots of these vehicles on the road soon.

listen carfully try really hard,yes I'm american no I dont like paying for or being hooked to oil companies,the amount of energy or btu's contained in a drop of oil,biodiesel,hydrogen far surpasses a fixed amount of pressure in a tank do some math! a tank with 4000 psi - ( am geussing now) say 50 psi per stroke per piston (4 cylinder) 1000 rpm that = 200 miles??? no hills no accsesories? because I use logic I must be american?

I completly understand the engine,my point is air conditioning takes up mabey 5 hp heat it depends is this engine watercooled? if not electric heat takes a lot of current or another fuel source ,alot of cars have daytime running headlights more current ,my point I'd bet these cars don't have accesories added which would take away significantly from the pie in the sky distances they are claiming,1cup of gas is equiv to 4 sticks dynomite thats energy storage! whats your background?

The engine will power the heater. Understand, this system is not different from a conventional combustion engine. It is actually the same engine block, but using air instead of gas, to move the pistons inside the engine. In a normal car the heater is powered by the engine's movement used to produce electricity. So does a compressed air engine, as long as the engine runs. Also the efficiency does not depend on the size of the bottles, but the amount of compressed air inside them.

hey dummies what would power athe heater? aircondition?headlights?think really hard take emotion out of it a scuba diver can use up a tank in an hour just BREATHING muchless moving a 1000 pd car with 4 people! bb gun vs rifle ever notice the HUGE air compressor the size of a small car it takes to run a jackhammer??? think!!

I told you what to Google. Just do it to see how this con has run since 1991 Look on Wikipedia for the look back link to the old MDI site with the road test. Deleted from the new MDI site. Now you give me a link that confirms 100km/h for 100km that is independently confirmed. IT DOES NOT EXIST. All claims are from MDI only and are physically impossible. Being able to drive round a car park is not a viable vehicle.
