In this edition, I talk about one of the greatest works of graphic literature in history - Sandman. You'll also see some clips from when I met Sandman's creator, Neil Gaiman, at a book signing. Including the geeky fanboy question I asked him (sub-titled, since you can't really hear what I'm saying - but you can hear his response just fine). BARELY managed to squeeze this one under the time limit...thank god they seem to give you a few seconds' grace time...

You know what's the best thing about Sandman? Most likely, it will never be made to an insultingly bad movie, because no one has the balls to attempt it. :D They thought LOTR was insanely hard to make... Could you imagine how hard sandman would be? OMFG /wrists.

Quite true! Although there IS a Death movie in the works, based on the second mini-series. I think Sandman COULD be done, but it would either have to be like a 3-4 hour movie per volume, or a serialized big budget TV series. If I ever make it big as a director, I'd LOVE the chance to tackle it. I'd make sure it was done RIGHT, dammit!

The Kindly Ones/The Wake had the most epic ending I've ever seen in modern literature. I don't think anything will ever come close.

I love Neil Gaiman's novels and a friend the other day randomly gave me her copy of Preludes and Nocturnes.I'm not a fan of Western comics so I was a little unsure but I was amazed by it!I hope I can get The Doll's House soon even if I'm dead broke XD

Yeah man, Sandman owns. Doll's House is great, but my personal favorite volume is v.4-Seasons of the Mist.

As you may have guessed form my shirt, Season of Mists is my favorite volume too. :)
