Does this happen in the vanilla Hexen engine too, or only under Doomsday? I'm just curious because I happen to program my own Doom port (the Eternity Engine). It'll run Hexen eventually, but I have to write all the code from scratch due to the bad license Hexen is under :(

I was just curious if you knew if this can happen in the original engine :) I know Heretic's Gargoyles could sometimes miss entering their "crashstate" that spawns the gibs and makes them look like a chunk of meat. This seems similar to that, in a way.

what causes the lighting effects? that wasn't in the original hexen it looks nicer with the dynamic lighting tell me!!
