I just got mine 20 mintues ago. I did not feel a single thing! I didnt even know she put the stuff in. Peace of cake.

Got tetanus shot in my butt early this morning. I've been sick all week and got dizzy last night and as I tried to catch myself sliced my arm open on a fence tool we left on the counter. 6 stitches + 1 tetanus shot = many ouchies! It actually hurt more when they numbed the area to be stitched then the tetanus shot did. I asked for it to be in my butt because it hurts less there. I took it like a man (though I'm a woman). Still hurts though. Feels like a nail is in my butt.

Too make matters even worse, Saturday night I also got a spider bite on my right arm (stitches were in the left) and it swelled up and I got a rash all over my body. So I had to go back to the doctor today. He put me on Prednisone & antibiotics + he gave me a shot of steroids in the butt. Yes, another shot in my butt to go w/ the tetanus from Fri morning. At least it was in the other cheek. Had one before; also better to get it in the butt. It really, really hurt bad.:(:(

lol i've had both and found the arm better, especially with the new tetnus needle

Actually the arm is worse for both of those shots. It will hurt more and hurt for a longer period of time afterward. And the cortisone they will only do in your butt at mine and most other doctors offices because it's so thick & concentrated. The tetanus stopped hurting yesterday and the cortisone stopped hurting today. If they were the arm it would still be hurting for a couple more days. Have had both in the arm before and had a problem for over a week with it.

when I got my first one today I couldnt feel a thing.
