Yeah, and people may condemn us Canadians for stealing land as well but man, at least we give equal rights to our Aboriginal community. In fact, they don't even have to pay taxes! Now THAT's compensation.

If you reread my posts you will see that I implied that I have no proof that a "god" exists or not, but what I can clearly say is that the "nature" of god described in most religions is conclusively false. As far as your life experiences go, they only seem real and convincing because you have blindly given your faith in some degree to your religion before those experiences took place. So why do I think that the god described in my previous post is false?

If God is all knowing and made everything, he did so knowing the result of all his creations. That implies that everything is predestined. If that were not true, then god would not be all knowing and all powerful. This however demands that god actually be an evil being. Take the devil for instance. God created the devil and the devil perpetrates all evil and corruption, but god being all knowing and the creator of everything knew the evil that would incur.

So in reality one must admit that God is actually the original perpetrator. How is that an all loving merciful god? If there is a "creator" he simply put the universe in motion with no interest in the result and could care less if he is worshiped or even acknowledged.
