The press made campaigns against artists in the 60's as well! They were against George Harrison's, Donovan's, Dylan's use of drugs but i think the things changed because of the mentality the audience has now against drugs! They can suck it hard - as long as good music always cam outta drugs, i'm in for them!!!!

The major difference between addict rock stars now and the 60s/70s/80s. Is that the media are complete arseholes! Look at all the addict stars in the past, antony keidis, frusciente, ozzy, lennon and there are loads more. The media couldnt give two monkeys about them back then really. Thye've created a 'campaign of hate' against him really and its bollocks. I've seen him live a few times and he gives it his all, and its great to see that in a performer. No other artists give that
