The four confirmed factions are: - Space Marines - Eldar - Orks - Tyranids Just so everyone stops, there will be more factions in Dawn of War 2, but these 4 are the ones in the FIRST GAME. There will be expansions for the game however which will feature more playable factions...just calm down. people saying this reminds them of starcraft need to learn their history. Starcraft's a cheap copy of Warhammer 40k Khorne FTW!!!

Tau is my favorite race in Dow but I'd really rather have just 4 Balanced races without Tau than 9 Unbalanced with Tau.
