You know... If you don't like Pain of Salvation at the first try, that's OK. But you'll have to listen to an album many times before you really find the melodies and the true beauty of their music :)

You know...Recently I tried to have patience listen to their albums with an open mind. So, I think the first two albums are great (I especially like !(Foreword), Nightmist and Plains Of Dawn from Entropia), Remedy Lane is somewhat good (A Trace Of Blood is a great song), but the rest...Well, it goes from overly pretentious (The Perfect Element Pt.1) to completely shitty (Scarsick), while BE managed to be both at the same time!
I really used to hate Pain Of Salvation, now I think they're decent.

Very well :)
For me, The Perfect Element and BE are their two best albums, followed by Remedy Lane and One Hour By The Concrete Lake. To be honest, I'm not absolutley sure if Scarsick is their worst album or if it is better than Entropia, but nonetheless I like them both.
And yea, Plains of Dawn, Nightmist and A Trace of Blood are all great songs.

So, you don't like Entropia that much? I still haven't found anyone that thinks Entropia is their best album. It's very strange, because I think it contains their best songs and also their best (and most original) ideas, as well as being their least pretentious album. They had still lots of unreleased potential, but they never matched the songwriting level of Entropia in their latter works (especially since Daniel Gildenlow decided that the most important thing of an album is the concept).

I really shouldn't be talking too much of Entropia, since I just bought it and haven't had the time to hear it more than two times, but I do have the feeling it'll grow better and better.
I feel that it's important not to see the works of Pain of Salvation as purely music, but also art (of course, to a limited extent. Not like Sunn O))), for instance). But who knows what's going on in the heads of musicians?

I don't get that either. I personally love Entropia. It was the album that got me into them

If you think that Scarsick is a shitty album, well, my guess is that you'll have to listen to it more. It is by far the most growing album to date imho. TPE and BE were instant faves for me, but it took me two years to get around to actually buying Scarsick, but now that I have. Wow, great album.

I think it is... absolutely nothing. Just an excuse for making a video with great music :)
