This song remains so very powerful in its own way. How poignant and beautiful this is!! One the best ballads EVER!! I don't care if people compare this to Pink Floyd! SO WHAT??? It's still a work of art and has fantastic lyrics and a harmonic quality like few others. FANTASTIC!!!!

i have been told by my parents that when this song came out, the radio station that they listened to at the time wouldn't tell who sang it, ppl could guess and there were so many ppl that thought it was Pink Floyd...what a great band to be compared toagainst, either way, its a great song!!! thanks for putting it up!!

This was one of the songs listed by Tipper Gore as offensive to young people, as well as "We're Not Gonna Take it", a few by Prince, etc. This was one of the reasons for the stickers on lps and CDs saying Parentla guidance. Dee Snider spoke to Cngress and other thean the stickers, the whole thing was thrown out. Most artists say that's what helped increase their record sales! Way to go Tipper!

I wouldn't expect this song to be offensive. People are ridiculous.
