Back

Rare footage of the great master. His playing takes one back to a bygone era where elegance and charm characterized many of the early players.

Magic! What unusual fingerings, all calculated for maximum expressiveness.

This is not actually Kreisler Andantino (or at least not the one that he composed attributing the theme to Giovanni Battista Martini) Do you know what the piece is please?

I 've read all your comments, and I am really pleased about the enthusiastic general response to Elman's unique and moving playing. This is also a fantastic opportunity for violinists to study his choices of fingering. He seems totally focused on the tonal and colour results. Only his last concern is convenience.

I didn't know about him to much. He has wonderful tones, understands Keisler's pieces, and has high musicality.
