Amazing Perth Christmas Lights

Back

26,500 light bulbs, 128 lighting channels, 5 kilometres of cable, 250 man hours to set up and just $3.40/night in power to run. This sensational display was the work of Messages On Hold owner Kym Illman. Lights were synchronised to various music tracks (this one is Wizards in Winter by TSO) which were heard by motorists on a dedicated radio frequency 92.5FM. Those visiting the Bishop Riley Way home in Churchlands WA during December 2007 chipped in $12,000 for the Princess Margaret Children's Hospital. A sterling effort. Special thanks to all the Floreat Lakes residents, Antonia Spiers, Asher, Mikey Mike, Danny Green and Leanne Hildreth and Santa who made a surprise appearance on Christmas Eve!

Carson Williams was the original. However I have to agree the Lindsay Lights take is awesome. I also think this one is great too, especially with 'plug pack adapters' that come with most Australian lights. These little things make synchronising more complicated (some don't like rapid on/off switching, some don't work well with fading/dimming). Would say its the best display from Perth I've seen. I run a display in Adelaide.
