It pisses me off how people in American football think that their hardcore. If they play rugby or league theyd piss there pants they cant live without there pads. And they have a break after like 10 seconds try play 80 mins

Hardly mate, if you watched real football you'd see it gets shit loads more fans than american football could ever get. the coca cola championship play off finals gets more fans than the superbowl and that is our second league so...and it is quite obvious rugby players are far more athletic than american footballers

i second this comment. im american and rugby is hands down a far better sport. they dont need 22 people per team with pads and helmets to hit other people and they just look cooler imo.

ive played football and ive played rugby, rugby is much harder. you have to be able to run and be conditioned for anything. football linemen cant outrun an inanimate object. rugby is pain and glory, football is overpayed bullshit. . . sorry americans, Rugby is the real mans sport and all real celts know that

firstly...both are tough...period. yeah american has pads but ppl get decked just as badly as rugby. secondly you cant really compare skill considering it's two different games. rugby requires one thing and football requires another. football is intended to have set plays. rugby is more like soccer where you have to last the whole game. football is made of multiple all out sprints. two different training regiments for two different sports. they'e just different.

haha you think these guys arnt as big and fast as the nfl players? wtf are you on about! haha. the average back in rugby is 6ft 1. the average forward is 6ft 4. the average lock is 6ft 8. most players tend to be around 230-270 lbs. some of the players are running at a near olympic speed. bryan habana for example runs 100 in 10.2. jonah lomu who was 6ft 5, 280 lbs ran 100m in 10.5 .. and unlike nfl players these guys are running around for the whole 80 minutes. they dont take a break after 3 secs
