What is this??
Stroke her feathers?
Would Jane Austen approve of her female characters being compared to bird?
I will continue to enjoy the original movie versions since they're stay true to Austen's novels.

I like the '95 P&P adaptation, but what the dickens happened to the new ones? If Davies wrote the script, I must say he quite disappointed me to say the least. Was he the one who dumbed down Austen into stupid lines and sex scenes? Sorry, but Davies quite underestimates Jane Austen fans. Frankly, I don't think this chap quite gets it. The new adaptations don't hold a candle to the older ones, besides being all boring rot.

(So, there you were, minding your own business, when you get an email saying someone replied to a comment you made 3 weeks before..lol)"
Make that 5 months! I had an awful time at the dentist today and was in pain, and your offhand remark made it possible for me to forget it entirely! Thank you for pointing me in the direction of that wonderful adaption. I didn't even know of its existence before tonight. :D
