Secondly, the seal hunt is a valuable source of income to fisherman in remote rural communities of Newfoundland. You have to remember, that for these families, they are dependant on the oceans to put food on there table, and a warm house to live in.
During the winter, the ocean is locked up in ice. So these people cannot fish, that means there are unemployed. The seal hunt gives these people much needed income.

how come those guys don't realize they can't be doing that to the seals, they are part of the natural environment and they aren't meant to be killed and trademarked as they are doing right now

No. 95% of it is not for food. 95% of it is for fur. And, much of that fur is burned because there isn't as much global demand for the fur as there are baby animals killed. The reason the fishermen are doing this is because they bitched like little sissies to their government that they weren't making enough money so the government changed the law for them and is actually paying them to kill seals for a market that does not exist. That's right. They are destroying life for an imaginary demand.
