i think you get the activation code after you enter the URL, and then the keygen will show it or something

lol I got full version from my mate! also for you question, Keygen is something that generates a regerstration key so you can play games without having to buy it or without a cd.

VX is newer but anyone who is familiar with either of them will tell you XP is much better what they dont or tell anyone is that there is also RM2k and RM2k3 and RM95 all of those are pretty out of date and dont expect it to be easy to use right off the bat because lots will start using it and give up fast. It's not complicated but if this is the first time using a RPG maker get RM2k or RM2k3 there isnt really less to them its just easier to understand. IMO just dont be a noob and use VX
