Andy Tielman (in white) is the singer. By the time they recorded this song there were only 3 Tielman Brothers left. Bass player Phonton left the band in 1964 to form his own group (The Royal Tielman) and was replaced by Robby Latuperisa from the Javalins. Hans Bax (also from the Javalins) was added as an extra guitarist.

But why do you think their father thought that the Netherlands would be better for his wife and childeren? Exactly, because of the purification. Back then Indonesian nationalists hated everything that had anything to do with the Netherlands. Don't forget that Indo's were all soldiers in the KNIL ARMY (Royal Dutch Indo Army) and fought side by side with the Dutch and Americans against the Japanese during the second world war. Soekarno worked together with the Japanese for a independent Indonesia.
