Part 3 : Here is a rough translation of my Japanese posting. Japanese Aviation law (CAB), places the use of video cameras during take-off and landing on the same black list along with the use of cellular phones and wave transmitting devices and any violation is treated as a criminal act. The punishment in Japan is severe : A heavy fine or even a jail term. Stop this noncsence ! There is not a single survey proving any harm in the use of a video camera during take-off and landing.

Part 1 離着陸時のビデオカメラの使用が危険でないのは確実です。日本の 航空法が規律を間単に一つにまとめるために、全ての電気機器の使 用を禁止しているのと同等にビデオカメラを扱っているだけです。 公平さを考えた処置であるだけで、危険と何の関係もありません。

Only devices that transmit radio waves, need to be turned off. Such as mobile phones, bluetooth enabled devices, radios (duh), ect... You'd be fooked if they asked you to turn off your pace maker, IDIOT lol

You obviously don't know anything about electronics. Calculators and video cameras do NOT generate RF, and only devices which operate at the radio or microwave frequency range would cause interference. Obviously cell phones, short wave radios, and wireless network cards could cause interference. But NOT calculators or video cameras. Not ALL electronic devices generate RF! Check my videos if you doubt my experience...over 10 years working with high voltage and RF.
