can anyone help me,i remember from the early 70's a song called "black skinned blue eyed boys " which i thought was by the equals but cant find it! was it by another group?

You're right, "Black Skin Blue Eyed Boys" was by The Equals. In the singles chart, it reached number nine in January 1971 and was the group's final hit single.
