wow, Gars are so Raw, i like'm so much. Don't understand y people don't like'm. Caught a 3 foot long one and want to catch a small one, where can I go fishing for a smaller one other than the pet store?

they're supposed to be like pre-historic, right? anyways theres quite a few of em in the creek round here, lotta ppl dont like em, but i have loads of respect for em, to me they offer something different from regular gamefish

Gar are awesome. Here in Arkansas, we have some huge Gar, both Longnose and Alligator Gars. Me and my friends catch the Longnose just about everywhere. We often use spinnerbaits, but live minnows work too. But my favorite is a yellow or red nylon rope about a foot to a foot and a half long. Gar of every size cant stay away!

i just caught 2 about 2 hours ago below the dam on lake wylie, and the biggest was close to that size. the biggest ive ever seen caught out of there was 5 ft by my agriscience teacher. we use cut bluegill or live bass minnows hooked with treble hooks 3 feet under a big pole float. what are other good ways?
