Absolutely... A huge risk for an artist / band who had major hits previously, and a LOT to lose with a bad decision. Fortunately, Blondie hit the scene with this at just the right time with this song, and (like it or not), it helped cement rap as a valid music form. Not bad for an ex-Playboy bunny E:-)
