It also addresses the unfortunate state of the US media which tends to report on science without an understanding of the topics as well as without anything but an intention to sensationalize the story. I wonder what is worse... bringing a severly deformed child into this cruel world so that he has to suffer for the rest of his life knowing he will never live a normal life, be ridiculed or patonized by others, and suffer physically while visiting the hospital everyday, be probed, poked, and be sick with medicine, causing financial as well as emotion toll on other family members, OR never be brought into the world and die without knowing. What would u choose?
