If I had to guess, I'm pretty sure the government might have some sort of emergency directive with media outlets when it concerns 'national security' and to prevent mass panic/hysteria. Media outlets are probably obligated to abide by it if the government invokes it, so that's probably what the Bush administration did. I am only guessing, but it makes sense to me for the government to have an emergency rope to pull when they want something out of the news in the interest of 'national security'

Now _that's_ interesting! I wish someone would get that clip and post it on YouTube. Funny how at the crash site there was nothing that looked like a plane, no scorched ground from burned fuel, no passenger body parts, no seats, nothing...but I guess there _were_ plane parts found up to a mile away. That's pretty indicative of a shootdown, or some other mid-air disintegration...

right...the news covering the Phily footage had the scoop...they knew what was really going on right at that moment...and that the jet streaking through the sky they pulled from file footage was the jet that shot the the plane down. Dang it!!!! why didn't you say something to someone back then!!!!

Yep say goodbye to heroes and anti-heroes. History will be written by the official story, and in the mean time the truth will be a raindrop in an ocean of assumption. The modus operandi is no longer restrict grammar education to cook the (history) books. It's "let everyone write their own story, and let people believe whichever one they want." No one can be deemed unfair, no one can be accused. Just let the human race do what it does best, fuck itself in the ass.

I remember watching the news as it was happening. When the news was covering footage of the plane over Philly, the news was saying it was shot down and the camera man clearly filmed a jet plane streaking through the sky. This lasted for about 30 seconds and then it became "passengers saved the day"

Exactly...in the vacuum created by the contradictions and holes in the official story combined with the destruction of evidence (such as the structural steel of the towers) a large crop of varied conspiracy theories blooms ranging from close to the official story to completely nonsensical, with everything in between. This leaves many to view anyone questioning the official story as a "conspiracy nutjob" that should be ignored. So many people today cannot think critically.

Anyone with any sense of intuition or inquisition understands that what happened was something different than we were told. This kind of thing is not historically new, however... the thing about that is what actually makes it into the history books... bringing this kind of thing up infuriates the "proud Americans" that bought into the post-9/11 patriotism bs. In the past, history was often just a lie. Now, it's just concealed in obscurity and opposing views.
