Jammys 2008: "Maze" Part II

Back

Disco Biscuits bassist Marc Brownstein led Disco Biscuits guitarist Jon Gutwillig, String Cheese Incident keyboardist Kyle Hollingsworth, Umphrey's McGee guitarist Jake Cinninger and Russo through a series of Phish covers under the name the HeadCount All Stars. Brownstein, who has shied away from covering Phish over the years, described the group as his "favorite band" and led the charge through spot-on renditions of "Wilson," "Run Like An Antelope," "2001," and "Maze, " the latter of which also featured Disco Biscuits keyboardist Aron Magner. Throughout the performance, moe. lighting director, and former Jambands.com News Editor, Jeff Waful manned the board from the rear of the house.

Why would they give anyone the 2nd jam of maze to anyone but barber? Jake did a good job and all but few have ever shredded like the barber. I would like to hear THAT version. As for magner, imagine how good he would be if he used 2 hands. sam kinison said piano players dont have time to play grab their balls at the crowd and keep playing, this man does, and should.

pretty sweet. i think i could play maze better on the keys, this guy is a bit of a right hand warrior. maybe he just got caught up in the moment. props though. good shit. and who cares about facial expressions? unless you are the one checking him out? that would make you the gay one.

At around 4:20is, the shot of the lights changing over Jakes guitar was almost straight from the Maze on Bittersweet. Kinda cool.

I think I'd be making some gay ass facial expressions too if I could play organ like that. Never seen him before but props to his energy. Webs0104 is a hater!
