What does it's "illegality" have to do with Charlie Weis's comments? It was an illegal push and as a coach, I would teach my players to try and get away with stuff the refs miss (it's just winning at all costs). Now I'm still a Pac-10 homer and love seeing ND get screwed so that the media can get off kissing ND's butt for a whole week, but this was a bad no-call.

He does NOT shove him into the endzone, and if you look closely, it's obvious that his help is miniscule at best. As to its "illegality," Charlie Weis said it best immediately after the game: "I would teach my players to do the exact same thing." End of discussion.
