I know...I understood your point from the beginning, I just disagree. Metal is easier to play, end of story. Not a lot of finesse, just loud and fast. Weckl, Chambers, Colaiuta, Buddy...they would have no problem with it, by virtue of the fact that their music is more difficult to play. Jordinson is an entertainer...he doesnt focus on his craft-- the music. Its more showmanship and flash, than musicianship.

im not saying joey generally is better than weckl, i'm saying joye in metal is better because joey has got more experience in this style than weckl... i know about the difficulty of funk, jazz and salsa... but, in my opinion, joey has got a very good speed in his hands and legs, and that's the thing that make joey better than weckl in metal style...
dont forget dennis chambers, steve gadd or buddy rich xD

I just disagree with you. Is jazz and funk or salsa more difficult and rhythmically complicated than metal? I think there is no doubt about it. Polyrhythms in salsa and jazz are much more challenging than playing the 4/4 time in metal with single strokes and double bass fills. I like metal, and I play it. I also play jazz and funk. I'm sure weckl could easily adapt to playing metal than the other way around. And Weckl's not the only great drummer out there, what about Colaiuta, or Smith? No way.

i can't speak english better because i'm not english but im saying that joey is better than weckl in metal, why are you refusing it? is the truth, weckl fucks joey in funky and salsa, but joey fucks weckl in metal, it's no more than that... all the people here who says that joey plays bad, or he can't hold the bass kick have envy to him... (i hope i wrote it good)

You're right its a difference in style, but Ive seen and heard enough to know who is the better musician. Fast single strokes over and over with double bass fills are nothing compared to what weckl does. Anyone (but you i guess) that plays the drums knows that. You seem pretty angry. Move on dude, get over it. And what is a "fucker stupid"? LOL.

i'm sure that you can't compare them because it's all about styles... what's the problem with you guy? are you sure that you can speak about drumms with property? get the fuck out of here because I'm only saying that it's all about styles... joey jordison FUCKS weckl in metal style... isn't it fucker stupid?
jerrywitaj (Monday 17th of November 2008 12:03:55 PM)
Maybe YOU cant compare them but i can. And there is NO comparison...Weckl is SO superior to this guy it isnt a debate. Watch one video of weckl...one. This dude plays ALL singles with double bass. Its nothing but flash.

amazing... all the people who says something like he's playing bad, or he can't hold the bass drum are stupid... in fact, you all wish to be like joey...
I'm not saying that there aren't better drummers than joey, but this drummers is fucking fast... joey is in metal drums like weckl in funky and salsa drums... you can't compare them...
jerrywitaj (Monday 17th of November 2008 10:31:11 AM)
Oh really? You need to get out more then because I doubt you've seen many real drummers. Plus, fast doesnt mean anything...get over it.

joeys the best and all, but he copied the idea of flipping the drums. tommy lee of motley crue did this in 1987 in Tacoma. But still, joeys the sickest man alive.]
