I agree with the local feelings on the riot. The Okinawa people were always known for their friendliness. I am not sure the military ever understood this. They were always screwed over by the military.

i remember, i was only 4th grade and my dad was working on base that time. i was grounded from playing at the military bases near by my house.

Riot happened Dec. 20, 1970. An american military personnel ran over a native Okinawan with his vehicle, MP's released him or tried. Same thing happened before, killing the native and the military guy got away with it as being inocent. We did it for a cause. Americans are still raping children here, causing many damage to us yet, never learn.
