Code Monkey

You can support Spiffworld by checking out the fantastic leveling guide at www.glutonysguide.com. This guy broke the record for speed-leveling to 70, and his guide can teach you to do it too. This is a music video about the life of the common lowlands code monkey. Jonathan Coulton is a singer/songwriter who releases his songs via the Creative Commons license, which enables projects such as this video. Through his "Thing A Week" podcast, Jonathan has put out a clever, creative song like this one every week for a year. Mike Spiff Booth is a Program Manager at Adobe who though this great song really deserved a video. Before you ask, since apes, goblins, and night elf receptionists don't tend to interact much in the wild, I couldn't only use captured game footage to make this video. Every frame of this video was composited together by hand using images captured from the WoW Model Viewer, WoW Map Viewer, and the World of Warcraft game itself. No monkeys were harmed in the making of this film. Please visit www.spiffworld.com for more information about my videos, including info about how I make them. The song at the end of the video is "Big Bad World One", another great Jonathan Coulton song.

Really cool I love the show Code Monkeys but I had no idea about this video or the songwriter until I just watched re: Your Brains, which is another song by this same member Spiffworld. It's really funny watch it!

Faust, baby! What can I say; I am a man of petty pleasures. The only insecure thing about me is that enjoy hating for hate's sake and am emotionally jaded No,wait that is insensitive. Besides, I love this song! It well written, funny and full of self-mockery, at least that is how I view it benignly. Self-mockery is a virtue my friend and please don't trifle with ironic sarcasm, that requires skill. Making this song one's proud battle-song, that is the definition of irony. Go Phi Theta!

Hey, I didnt't realize they knew how to use computers at Phi Theta Jackass. Seriously, are you that insecure that you go around YouTube, listening to songs made by Nerds so you could insult Nerds? and your telling them to get a life?

ah touché, let me rephrase it: Existentialistic pointless and as long computers aren't built as voluptuous female androids giving head. I will remain adamant in my statement of "pointless" Stereotype asshole;that be code-monkey slang for "people with lives"? But ye're right; I am an asshole, a major asshole to be precise. I mean, who else would bother spiting others on youtube, whilst true spleenful delight is to be had in the real world? Oh sorry, ye know of the world outside the cubicle?
