In 2005 Lauren Canario was arrested when she refused to move from a property seized by the New London Development Corporation using its delegated power of eminent domain. The Supreme Court had just ruled that cities could steal people's property and give it to whomever they wished for whatever arbitrary and capricious reasons they felt like.

whose rights was she pissing on exactly? she stood in a spot that she had every right to be standing in, and was arrested for not moving from that spot. who was the victim of her "crime", whose "rights were pissed on"? and yet, it's perfectly legal for these people's homes to be taken from them? i think that is a much larger douching of piss on people's rights that a woman standing still.

Lauren Canario is a hero! She stands up for what is right. The government is not on the side of the people, but Lauren is. They arrest her, but they can't stop her. No one can.
