Someone asked me to explain my position and I did so. It's not like I'm upset.

check out a band called 'Yes' too.. from about the same era - another obvious influence of Mars Volta's

Speaking of the Mars Volta, I noticed that this song shares a very similar line to one in Pattern Against User by At The Drive In. Who would've thought?

Besides, even Weather Report had more modesty than to title their pieces after cosmo-galactic mumbo-jumbo. It asserts a particular standing that the work itself does not aspire to.

Return to Forever had an artistic concept that fit really well with their incredible musicianship. To undermine their abilities by saying "the name isn't modest" is silly.. their music IS cosmo galactic and they named it as such. By comparison weather report is like.. well.. listening to a weather report

I've done nothing but praise their abilities. All I'm saying is that I think their name sucks. No need to get upset about that.
