Hi i did the rig of the wing, but how can i mirror it so i dont have to do it all again for the other wing???

ello I'm mirroring only the bones and the rest of it for example IK chains and so on I'm making from baginning. So I dont know any good recepie for making mirrors in max without bugs.

how about in maya 7? do u know how to mirror for the other wing?

ello. I'm new user Maya too and I never made any rigg in it, yet ;). So I can't answer u. But I'm pretty sure that in standard mirror tool the effect would by the same. When u mirroring something u mirror everything: pivots, data etc. So in some cases the rigg looks like working pretty ok, but in some movments it mass up everything for example alle the wireing working in the mirror whay.. some constraints and so on. Butter way is to make a copy of some bones.. and just rotate them 180 degress.

Other way is to make some kind of macrorecords and use them instead mirroring. Yup rigging is realy time consuming thing if u wanna do somethig really good, better way is to rigg parts separatlly than have some mirror - errors/bugs when the animation project will start on. Sorry for language mistakes ;)
