Well, youre not that negative. You admit that Macs are simple, and you just want to have fun with you PC. That's a nice way to learn about hardware. But if you like hardware so much, please, go search something about the PowerMac G5's architecture. You'll be amazed. you're not that bad after all. :)

How does being from Ohio prove any point? I think you're just making rash generalizations that frankly I've never heard before. And no, you're completely wrong, people did NOT build their own cars, they modded them much as they do today. I'm assuming you're referring to "hot rods". In the 20s and 30s Ford among others were well "up to speed" the model T came out in the teens. So if you build a PC, you're uneducated, poor, chew tobacco, live in Ohio, anything else?
macindrew (Wednesday 3rd of September 2008 06:09:31 PM)
sure they did, it wasn't until Ford, Olds, etc got up to speed that people did away with the notion of "greasemonkeys" and bought fully assembled cars without the fuss. look at the NASCAR culture, it's nearly identical in education level to the PC box builders today. You being from Ohio proves my point.

people didn't build their own cars in the 20s and 30s you idiot. I was being sarcastic because you're talking out of your ass. I really have no idea where you're getting the idea that people who build PCs are poor and uneducated, maybe you could enlighten me a little bit. It would seem that it takes a little more effort to build a pc than buy some crappy prepackaged mac, but hey what do I know, I only have a masters degree from Ohio State, I'm poor and uneducated. moron

You were the one who didn't realize people used to build their own cars, not me... moron. It was all the rage in the 20's & 30's. Today, people mainly "mod" cars and these people are seen as the beer drinking, skoal chewing rednecks that surrounds the NASCAR culture. PC moders are of the same ilk... generally poor, uneducated and no sense of quality in their lives. Yes, gaming is a bit different, but still if you want the best overall "value" in PCs, you buy a Mac every time.
