Do you mean how to set up a greenscreen? Or do you mean how to perform the keying?

i know how to black out the green screen and all that. But how do i put the acter in front of a backround?

Just put the greenscreen layer above the background layer. Then you'll see the background through the empty space.

awesome tutorial. Do you think you all could make one that shows how to clean up the footage expertly? I have, what looks to me like very decently shot green screen footage, but I just can't quite get some green fuzz out from around some crevices! Anyways, thanks again for getting me started!

You can zoom the canvas using the zoom slider at the top and can scale actual clips using the animation toolset.
