The only difference between small changes and large changes is TIME. What mechanism is there to PREVENT large changes? God magic? It's like saying that if you trickle water into a pool, you can make a puddle, but you could NEVER fill the pool. Why? What mechanism would prevent it?

Dead to WHOM? *rofl* It's ALWAYS been dead to religious nuts, but then so has much of geology and cosmology. It's long-established fact in the scientific community (and educated religious community). The research never stops, weekly producing more information than a dozen Bibles, and so do the venture capital dollars, with billions invested in biotech. Your proclamation of death is utterly meaningless.

Look at the dog family - there are over 500 breeds / types of dog (including the domestic). There is great diversity between these due to the DNA. They come in many colors, shapes and sizes BUT they are still only dogs. Nothing to do with the theory of evolution. The deception that happens with the ToE is they get a moth add a spot and say it is a new species.
