She's in Australia and is the standby for Elphaba in the Melbourne production of Wicked. She's fantastic and has improved SO much since USJ :D

Have you seen both of them live? I did, and Jemma was good, emotes really well, and was on par for acting, but doesn't go anywhere near Amanda Harrison for dynamism. Amanda was able to deliver the same character with a much more powerful (and pitch perfect) vocal performance. Because the could knock it out of the park, it made the softer moments better as well.

Um, i hate this chick playing Elphie. She's too "showy" with her facial expressions and quick hand gestures. It's really amaturish. Guess, that's why she's not on Broadway. But she does have a few good notes to hit in the songs. But she just seems a little too 'jerky' with her movements and acting.

its probably amaturish because this is her first real theatre show and the directors for this show wouldnt have been the proper ones. She is going off her own kind of interpretation. She is now the standby in australia and she has improved SO SO SO much!! she blows defying gravity out of the water! :D

i agree ... they could make it more subtle, couldn't they? it kinda ruins the whole "wow" factor
