i just watched the doors movie, made in 1991. i heard this song and i recognized it cuz of the joe perry cd in 2005. i thiught that joe made that song up. i was mistaken.

Nicely arranged video to beautiful lyrics and a haunting melody. I was very fortunate to have been in Venice Beach in '67 and '68 and used to walk right off the beach into The Doors studio to watch them rehearse. I remember when the musical arrangement for Crystal Ship was being done, the lyrics having already been written in '64 or '65 by Jimmy. He was very charismatic in person and adept at instantly putting himself into the mood of a song. Goodnight, sweet Prince.
