Billy Joel has written and performed some of the best music in America for over thirty years, and this song is as good as any of them. Moving, in every sense of the word. the lyric, the amazing gospel feel, the vocal- Lord have mercy, this is a great, great song. Those of you too immature to get it can watch American Idle; hey, there's a style of music for everyone. Is this a great country, or what? Without American music, in all its various glories, the world would be a poorer place.

ahhh memories...my dad used to listen to his albums all the time on cassettes in the car...me nd my friend used to sing along all the time, coming back from football training....the pause that he does...."In the middle of the night".... always makes me smile, me and my friend wud try and guess when he wud do it...bearing in mind we were very young...Happy days
