Criolay, you want some rock music? Try Black Label Society, Down, Alice in Chains, Temple of the Dog. But please don't tell me this is good music. It's painful. But yeah.. I get your point... "Good music" is subjective...

There's many sub-genres of rock, you know. By the bands you mentioned you seem to enjoy alternative, grunge and metal. This is rock music too, just part of a different sub-genre

Come on man, this isn't rock! What's rock about this? This is well polished (and irritating) pop music... Yes, I like metal and grunge but above all I like music. I listen to a hell of a lot of jazz too but this is just... nothing. Irritating nothing...

This is most definately music. There are some songs that others like that I personally can't stand, but that doesn't make it NOT music. I do hear the pop in this song, but I also hear a lot of rock. Can we agree on Pop Rock, then?

When I say it's not music, I refer to the fact it comes across as a well-oiled marketing product than as a creative expression. Regardless of what I think, I have to thank you for your intelligent comments, which I have to say, are few and far between on YouTube. It's nice to have a decent conversation with someone, instead of insulting the hell out of each other. Refreshing indeed...

Ah well, that's the music industry for you. Likewise. It's pleasant rarity to find someone willing to argue intelligently here.

It is my opinion. Sorry but I don't suffer bands that pretend to be rock music, when it fact it's just polished pop music and a band clearly put together by savvy music executives. Where's the talent there? They worked hard you say? How hard I wonder? How long have they been together? How many albums have they produced to get there? I guarantee you they won't be around in another five years, if that and no one will remember Sahara hotnights.

They've actually been around since the mid ninties - crossed over various record labels during that time, both major & independant, and even done some self-releases. They definately have pop overtones but that doesnt neccessarily mean theyre a manufactured band =]
