Never ever use rice. If you want your brushes to last you a week, go ahead and use rice. but it is never recommended. Worm like insects will form from the rice and damage your brushes. I've done it and I have learned my lesson trust me on this!

I use rice for mine and it works really well - just make sure it's PACKING RICE. Not rice that bugs will be attracted to.

Never use rice. Food should only be for eating, you'll have lil insects forming!
