Its no worse than preparing a vaginal cytology slide to determine whether the bitch is in oestrus. It is a stress free and efficient way of ensuring that the bitch is ready to mate. There is no point in wasting money and stressing the bitch by mating her if she is not in oestrus. Breeders test for oestrus in every country in the world. Do your research before you make comments like the one above.
