More at http://www.theuptake.org. Independent media have given a lot of coverage to the confrontations between police, demonstrators, and - well - independent media. The UpTake now has proof that creative, peaceful people were in fact spotted in downtown St. Paul on the first day of the RNC; an estimated 10,000 of them in fact. Here's a little taste.

the masks were actually because they knew theyd be gassed. I saw many people get gassed for walking in a group down the street. The only violence that day that I saw came from the officers.

LMAO. Surely not the broken windows, pushing cops off bikes, throwing feces. No, none of that was violent at all. *rolls eyes* I live downtown St Paul and watched every second. The anarchist group(s) were entitled to everything they got from the police.

Have you looked into the reasoning behind property damage? When have they assaulted peaceful protests or poured bleach on people? The reasoning behind the masks is a representative of personal liberation.
