BackPlusReport: McMahon Fighting Home ForeclosureReport: McMahon Fighting Home ForeclosureThe Associated PressEd McMahon, who for decades appeared as Johnny Carson's sidekick on 'The Tonight Show,' is fighting to avoid foreclosure on his multimillion-dollar Beverly Hills home, according to published reports. (June 4)NATS UP-- COMMERCIAL He made a career out of helping Americans' dreams come true... But now Ed McMahon is reportedly the one in need of help. Johnny Carson's longtime sidekick on "The Tonight Show" is allegedly in danger of losing his Beverly Hills, California mansion. The Wall Street Journal first reported McMahon is close to 650-thousand dollars behind in payments on his nearly 5-million dollar mortgage. The former "Star Search" host hasn't been able to work since he broke his neck 18 months ago. McMahon's spokesman says the 85-year-old pitchman and his wife are in "fruitful discussions" with his mortgage company to try work out a deal. McMahon's real estate agent says the six-bedroom, five-bath house has been on the market for two years. It's in a hilltop gated community that overlooks famed Mulholland Drive. But the agent says it's been a tough sell, partly because pop star Britney Spears is a neighbor -- and she attracts paparazzi. ___ ___, The Associated Press.

Ed should be a multi-millionaire traveling the world. How can people fell sorry for someone that disregarded saving, planning, and investing. At 85 he should be happily retired, and his house should have been paid off years ago.

Amazing. The head of the senate banking committee, Mr. Dodd, got sweet heart deals from Countrywide right before the bubble. And he is over the regulators?

Let's correct a little misconception.
He didn't "make a career out of helping Americans' dreams come true." The old goat sold magazine subscriptions spiced up with get-rich-quick come ons. Big difference. Now he's blown his loot. Out of the house, deadbeat!

I bet the gold digger wife blew through all the cash and Ed is too embarrassed to admit it.

He got a $7M settlement for mold in that house, he bought it for less than that, so he MADE money on it. WTF did he do with all the money from the settlement? Why wouldn't you pay it off. Ed, ya pissed it away, your old, you're gonna die in a few years. You're not getting my sympathy buddy.

How long has he been married to this wife? And how old is she? I am assuming she is a moded or former model.
Thanks for the info

He broke his neck 18 months ago? Funny how he didn't wear the neckbrace at the opening of the Simpson's movie? Ed, here's a newsflash, your a sleazy Snake-Oil salesman with a gold-digger wife. Rumour has it that this is your 2nd Home.
