In honour of Cathy Jamieson triumphant appearance on Newsnight Scotland, Jack McDonnell, the best wee numpty in the world, attempts to explain how wonderful Labour's council tax tinkering is. He doesn't succeed. Bernard Son thinks Jack's gone a bit corned beef - "Did you hear my question?" Jack's ears are fine; it's the space between them that's the problem.

pipoo1 well done its about time someone pointed out tht england has never subsidised scotland it is rebates we get which means gettin some of our money back but we dnt get all of it if anything we subsidise england

For 50 years Labour thought they had ddevine right of rule in Scotland. Even at the height of Maggie in the 80s we still sent back armies of Labour MPs to london. Well what HAVE they done to deserve that? Saddled us with a second rate economy still stuck in the 1970s and created resentment from the English by spreading the LIE that England subsidises our "fantastic" lifestyle. Goodbye Labour. It may be a long time before they get back in.
