The bullet is half an inch in diameter...it doesn't need to expand to be lethal. While an expanding bullet would surely be more effective, I'm pretty sure one hit from a FMJ round would sufficiently kill just about anything.

There are 124 different types of bullets fo the .50 cal.All are currently available except the depleted uranium round. So,you still have 123 choices.

Fucking sweet. Awesome job. Nice to make your own considering the price of .50's

5/5 for your machine work, but it would be cool video if you had a closeup of the gun in good light, and didn't have the wierd, loud static garble at the end. You should use hearing protection, esp under that metal canopy.

I imagine you can hunt with it! I'm sure it would be like putting a shotgun slug with double velocity into the game animal at whatever range you want.

i dont believe thay make hollow points because there is so much force behind that bullet that it would be like a brick of lead because of the mushrooming effect of the bullet there is also a 600 nitro express used for elephants and shit

no. Since the barrel was already pressure proofed (confirmed with a gov. stamp) my only concern was the bolt. I figure after ten rounds and no discernable deflection, cracking or warping, I was good to go.

uh no i live in the U.S. As a licensed gun owner, I can go to a local gun shop and buy powder, shells, primers, whole cartidges, guns and sweet shooting glasses.
