I've gotten S's on all but two missions in AC6. The other two are A's. I've been playing Ace Combat since I was ten, and I must say, I still think that Yellow squadron are the hardest aces to fight. Although needless to say, Gault squadron was a pain in the ass. And I have been shot down by Schwartz squadron on more than one occasion. I guess that's my punishment for playing on ace mode.

Strigon Team in AC6 are a good fight, but they aren't really an ace Team; you shoot down something like 30 of them in the course of the campaign although not all are priority targets, some are more of an annoyance, especially on ground-attack levels. Yellow is a good challenge too, they took me quite a while when i played AC04. Talking of missile storm, mission 12 in AC6 campaign is like that: you vs 40 aircraft and you have to hold out until the reinforcements arrive nearly impossible on Expert

bsidesandrarities - I fully agree on the Strigon point. They're more of minor annoyances or slightly tougher enemies rather than "aces", and only Pasternak puts up a good fight - he still needs 30+ drones and a superplane that can defy the laws of physics to do that, however. The aces in ACZ are fairly challenging opponents, and AC04 - well, you learn to fear the Yellows pretty quickly because you can't shoot any down until Stonehenge, making them seem like a pretty big deal.

Yellows defeated in 3:14 my first time around, but man were they fun, Gault was a bit longer, but it was like a missile storm with them, Mobious 1 on Zero was also fun, not hard to avoid him, but his zig-zaggyness was a pain in the butt xP
