I don't think humble people often become high ranking politicians.

I thank you kindly. I am Maarten and I approve this response.
I do here on make the solumn pledge that humble I, WILL try to become the first European president. I'll strive to indoctrinate the world with reason and insight. To tyrannize with justice and compassion. Haha, I say: 'V' for Obama; remember the 5th of november...I seen no reason why Gunpowder Treason should ever be forgot...(I think that's movie is an appropriate parallel). Ha!

You're right, Maarten, it's not possible to really draw any conclusions.

Yup, wow that censor is working well, again, that was an invitation by Colbert to assassinate Bush, disguised humourously as an invitation for an attack against himself, perhaps referring to the fact that Hitler killed himself. Carnivore must be overloaded now. and no.. DO NOT take this seriously, unless B somehow engineers a third term.

Yup.. that was a invitation to assassinate Bush, disguised as an invitation to assasinate Colbert himself.. I think Hitler assassinated himself.

Then again, his reaction could have been to something else..It's all about editing, you know this. But assumed he -all of the sudden- realised there was a camera on him does contribute to your point. I agree. But, once again: maybe Colberts comments were as truthfull as they were daring and obvious for some, like a comfirmation, it does kinda make you a target when you laugh openly at this, especially in hollywood. But there's no excuse for holding back on this, that IS Colberts message!

I think he agrees with the message Colbert is bringing and is admiring it...However (and I think this is the the thing you're referring to) the issue for all who were in that crowd that night is: like a test who dare to stand up for the truth. I wouldn't say he failed this, I think he, maybe like most of the rest, needed some time to let it sink, since it's nothing like they had (let sunk) for a long time. That was - at least- a good sign. Better than most reactions. Peace! Good comment btw!

lol I can't believe Colbert was invited to this thing. He is insulting the president pretty much to his face in front of thousands of people, this is great.

Maybe he's just self conscious.
