One other thing I'd like to add to my previous post, look at coltrane, hendrix, ronnie earl, stevie ray vaughen, miles davis, and also artists such as brian wilson, newton faulkner, morcheeba and massive attack, no matter which artist you look at, when they play live its evident that they are enjoying the music they make, they don't make music to revolutionize the industry, they make music to express their feelings of their life experiences, not to make an imprint of themselves in history.

and might i add they were not chosen for looks as artists are nowadays, they were chosen for actual talent: the ability to express emotion through music, and reach other human beings on a deep level. i don't agree with all the artists on your list, but i think we have the same thought here... coltrane, hendrix, srv, davis, and massive attack for sure. cheers

To be honest, its all personal opinion where artists come into arguments, you could argue that jimmi hendrix is the best guitarist in the world all you want, but someone will still say that a guitarist like joe satriani is better, what counts is enjoying the music and making a view of the MUSIC not the artist, I'm not a fan of artists like coltrane, but I appreciate the music and it still inspires me when I create my own music, and gives me ideas about what sounds i want to achieve.

oh and one more thing. if they didnt get the credit they deserved, it means they either didn't show it, or they didn't develop their talents enough to show it. there's no such thing as not giving credit where it's due. if you are good at something, people know it. why? well, if you don't know that either than i apologize. hendrix was black in the 1960's. and he stood up like a man and practiced that guitar for 8(?) hours a day. from my recollection he walked around with a guitar on. did they?

Miles Davis made a mistake...Hendrix had many gimmicks. so what is it that you do sir? but attempt to tear down true talent! its a funny thing when the first thing out of a guys mouth is bashing someone else, no matter who it is...shows something about their character right..off..the..bat. but i guess I'm guilty too then, i gotta stop wasting so much energy dealing with poopfaces.

oh, u did give us some names...too bad they don't compare. i checked em out, and turns out hendrix did outplay em. yea they came up with some good songs tho. too bad guys like hendrix and coltrane literally owned their instrument like one would his own hand. sorry dude. some catchy stuff though!...u sure know your musik.

are u a natural musician with a natural ear for music (like Mozart)? an innovator AHEAD of your time both conceptually and mentally? a dude that saw beyond peoples egos and played straight from the heart?...like this Coltrane guy. oooh, country pickers leading the pack eh? guarenteed hendrix has already outplayed them and he's dead! give us a name and we'll see who is a poser and who is the real deal. he died at 27, how was that exactly? if u dont know too bad...back up thse claims please.
