Children exploited in Cambodian building boom - 28 Jun 08

Cambodia is one of southeast Asia's poorest countries, and that poverty has forced many parents to take their children out of school and send them to work. But the country is experiencing something of a construction boom. And that means many children are ending up on building sites or in factories, where the work is dirty and dangerous. Fauziah Ibrahim reports from Battambang province, where hundreds of children are now risking their health and their lives, working in brick kilns.

Khmers are descendants of the Great Angkor Wat Temple builders. Khmers used to be rich before war. Khmer capital Phnom Penh was know as "Pearl of South Asia before war". Because of war that makes Khmers poor, but Khmers are hard working right now and soon they will become rich again once more.

Hey, Cambodia was at war for almost 30 years, do not expect Khmer people become rich just one day. Some Khmers are poor no money, but they are rich of spirit and rich of culture. At least poor Khmers had made a most beautiful woman on earth like Angelina Jolie to become a strong woman today. Go asking her, she said the Khmers gave her courage to live her life again.
