Cops Steal Journalists Camera 1st & 4th Ammendment Violations

Back

I was attacked by the New York Police Department, who broke my camera AND stole it... as well as my footage. DOWNLOAD A FULLSCREEN VERSION FROM MY WEBSITE http://Fluxview.com For an example of good cop behavior check out this video from the 4th annaul Iraq War Protest in LA. You will see a squad of bike and foot cops ORDERED to march into the center of a permitted anti war demonstration during a punk concert. They create a line seperating the crowd. Tensions mount (no shit). Finally a cop with some authority on the ground say's "Why are we doing this?" Since none of the ranking officers on the ground have any idea why they were ordered into the crowd... they leave. That's a good cop. The one that says "why are we doing this" when ordered to do fucked up shit. watch it. http://fluxview.com/v/protests/04/M20LA/QT-March20th-Antagonistas.htm

Bad cops are rarely held accountable which is why abuse exists. check youtube "COPS BEAT ME"

Why would they take the camera? It's simple. They know they are evil and they want the rest of the world to know they are fuquing us up the azzz

They are officers of the law, they must report unlawful actions by their fellow officers. If not, they are nothing more than armed thugs!

They broke the law my friend, you defend law breakers?? Cops are here to be civil servants and protectors, not to harass protesters. This was an assault, and reparation are in order!

These officers broke the law, arrests and charges must be made, the public must press for reparations for the camera man.

Hey buddy, I can point to about 50 videos on youtube that show very poor police behavior. The only problem is that videos showing outstanding police behavior dont make it on youtube, so its easy to get a skewed perspective. Its like many other things in life, the few bad apples give the bunch a bad name. Only idiot cops ALWAYS defend other cops.

Then why oh why do we hear stories bout NYPD ignoring please for help in minority neighborhoods, and never being around when shit actually goes down? Or stealing money from drug dealers (dirty 30, circa '94), or bookies (1970s, Serpico)? Power corrupts, and the big bad blue is the biggest gang in town. Other departments are better - but that 35,000 member monster is out of control. Even cops in Jersey say as much

Good police behavior we can get on mainstream media, I think thats the point, much of this is kept from the public sorta like the war pics, all the ugly (yet true) stuff is kept from us.

True...this was a good example of a police officer not doing his job correctly. The main problem is there are too many youtube videos screaming "the police abused me!" when in reality it was the person be a dumbass and the officer responding as such. Its the boy who cried wolf issue.

The good cop incident starts about a third of the way through that video.
