Global Warming 101
BackGlobal warming could do more than just melt polar ice. It could change our maps, and displace people from cities and tropical islands. See all National Geographic videos: http://video.nationalgeographic.com/video/?source=4001

We have lived for too little a time to know what is happening to our world. Scientists compose this information based on only what they know, which is very little.

I do believe global warming is happening but I do not believe that we are making a significant enough influence on it to actually be able to stop it.
Despite the quite large amount of information our scientists know, we have only existed for a very small time in Earth's history. Compare our lifespan with the dinosaurs' lifespan. If the Earth's history was compacted into only one hour then the dinosaurs will have lived for about 4 minutes. We will have lived for about a few milliseconds.

'Mann Hockey Stick 2' faults found already :
"...the load-bearing proxies are very problematic and, as previously with the Graybill strip bark chronologies (which remain in use), known defects are ignored using contrived excuses."
"The vast majority of the proxies in this figure are tree rings, so we're back to tree rings."

2boomback, Your analogy about the instruction manual fails you; sure, I'd read a manual written by the creator of a machine. But did scientists create nature? No, they only interpret it based on the limited information they know. Two completely different things my friend.

I don't get why some people say that global warming is not a big issue it IS if we don't care now then global warming will soon be like a runaway train. we won't be able to stop it p.s. My comment feels like so dumb compared to some of these

We shouldn't rush the science, the fact of the matter is, is that the data isn't matching with the theory even when the IPCC has adjusted it's doomsday theories down. We can't give into fear mongers when it costs us our freedoms and economic stability, this issue has been political from the get go - and the AGW'ers will stop at nothing from spreading their fear, they've introduced comments about "tipping points" and "feedback" loops and recursive disaster, yet data shows none of this.
